MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) – A driver who transports patients for the Tennessee Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities was arrested Monday for allegedly raping a woman he was transporting in Murfreesboro.
Murfreesboro police reported 53-year-old Lulseged Wakjira drives patients to and from medical appointments.
According to an incident report, Wakjira told a female passenger he was licensed therapist and could assist her with her pain.
The victim reportedly trusted Wakjira and allowed him to give her a massage, which is when the alleged sexual assault occurred.
Wakjira was interviewed by police and taken into custody.
He was booked into the Rutherford County jail and charged with sexual assault. He was released on a $30,000 bond.
