LA VERGNE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A sex offender wanted by La Vergne police has been arrested, authorities said Thursday.
Michael Cavallo was wanted for allegedly failing to notify the police department he was released from jail in 2015 after an October arrest.
Tennessee law requires sex offenders to notify their supervising agency within 48 hours of release of any detention facility.
Police said the last time that Cavallo properly registered was Aug. 1, 2014. He must report with the La Vergne Police Department once per year within a week of his birthday.
He was one of two sex offenders wanted by authorities. The second was Ivor Gross, who turned himself in Wednesday morning.
