MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) – A Riverdale High School student was expelled after officials say they discovered marijuana and a handgun inside the high schooler’s car.
Rutherford County Schools spokesman James Evans said a tip led to a search of the student’s car Wednesday morning.
According to Evans, the student was immediately removed from school and expelled.
That student, who has not been identified, will face multiple criminal charges, Evans said.
All parents have been notified of the incient. Any parent with questions about their children should contact the school directly.
