HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Hendersonville police said a woman has been charged with false reporting after she claimed her home was burglarized when it wasn’t.

Officers received a complaint on Feb. 21 that a burglary was in progress on Williamsburg Drive.

When they arrived, Danica Saunders reportedly said someone forced their way into her home and that she sustained some injuries.

According to police, a detective was able to determine the facts described by the victim were inconsistent with the evidence at the scene.

Authorities further determined the incident did not occur, and the 20-year-old was charged with false reporting.

Saunders was booked into jail on $1,500 bond. She’s due in court March 23 at 9 a.m.
