Franklin police offer $5K for information on armed robbery suspect

FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WKRN) – Franklin police are searching for an armed robbery suspect who allegedly shot at a man Thursday.

Officers responded to an apartment complex in the 700 block of Westminster Drive at 10:15 p.m. after the victim called authorities.

The victim had parked and was walking to his apartment when two men robbed him in a stairwell, according to police.

He told officers one of the suspects was armed with a handgun and fired at him, but missed.

One suspect stole the victim’s white 2001 Chevrolet Cruze with Tennessee license plate U 5502 S.

The second suspect left in a gray or silver PT Cruiser or similar vehicle.

Detectives are working with the victim and witnesses on a description of the young black male suspects, one of whom was wearing a ski mask during the robbery.

The City of Franklin is offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.
