NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — In an 86-71 win over Missouri on Wednesday night, Vanderbilt had all five starters score in double digits.
But, it was Nolan Cressler coming off the bench that stood out in the conference win. During the 15 minutes the junior guard was in the game he had seven points and four rebounds.
Head Coach Kevin Stallings said, “Nolan’s looked better in practice. His confidence seems to be back and I’ve liked Nolan’s look the last few days in practice probably more than I have at any point this season.”
Coach Stallings isn’t the only one noticing Cressler at practice, so our his teammates. “Nolan is a great asset for us in his play and in his leadership. His character is just what this team needs,” said Wade Baldwin. He said Cressler is going to help them tremendously.
The transfer from Cornell is starting to see some minutes and after Wednesday it’s likely he’ll start seeing a lot more.
