NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Americans are expected to spend about $20 billion in gifts for their significant others this Valentine’s Day.

Flowers are the preferred gift for Americans, but money could also be spent on other gifts.

If you propose at Mimi’s Café in Murfreesboro, you will be given free champagne and cake.

If you’re not ready to make that kind of commitment, you can profess your love publicly on Mimi’s Facebook page and receive a coupon for a free entrée.

If you are nursing a broken heart, you might want to go to Hooters where you can shred a photograph of your ex and receive 10 boneless wings for free with a purchase of 10 wings.

At Q’doba, if you kiss someone at the restaurant on Valentine’s Day, you qualify for a free entrée with purchase of an entrée.

For the ninth year, Waffle House will offer Valentine’s Day dinner with special tablecloths.
