Man accused of threatening family with machete in Franklin

FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WKRN) – A man was arrested in Franklin Friday after police say he threatened his family members with a machete the night before.

Christopher Dalton, 29, was wanted after officers responding to the Cothran Drive home around 9:40 p.m. discovered he had fled.

Family members reported he had threatened them with a machete during a disturbance.

On Friday, police say Dalton returned to the home but fled again prior to a SWAT team entering.

The 29-year-old, who was just released from prison on Feb. 8, was taken into custody around 6:20 p.m. nearby on West Meade Boulevard.

Dalton was charged with aggravated assault.
