NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – For the second year in a row, News 2 crews got into the Valentine’s Day spirit a day early by making surprise deliveries early Friday morning.

First stop was Tristar Stonecrest Medical Center in Smyrna to see the hospital’s nursery staff, who were all very appreciative.

“This really makes me feel special! Channel 2 came!” said one nurse.

Then we made our way to Hermitage to see Tristar Summit Medical Center’s emergency room nurses.

Another nurse said, “Oh my heart! That’s the nicest thing that’s happened to us all night. This is better than puppies!”

The staff was swamped so we got to see firsthand how hard they work.

The last stop was to Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital where we visited their neo-natal intensive care unit.

The flowers were donated by Village of Flowers in Hillsboro Village.
