NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — After a brutal 6-3 loss to the Flyers Thursday night, the Predators came back in a big way against San Jose Saturday.
James Neal, who was playing in the NHL All-Star game less than a week ago, earned the first of six goals for the Preds in the first period.
With 20 minutes under their belt, Calle Jarnkrok scored the second goal of the night.
After Mattias Ekholm got called for tripping, the Sharks got on the board with a power play goal.
Viktor Arvidsson had an explosive night that started with a sweet goal for the Preds with less than three minutes to go in the second. Filip Forsberg got his 100th career point with his assist on the goal.
That wasn’t the end of the night for Forsberg, who scored a shorthanded goal early in the third.
The Sharks managed to score one more in the third before Shea Weber knocked in an empty-netter, ending the game 6-2.
The Preds take on the Washington Capitals at home on Tuesday.
