MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) – More than 17,000 items were collected for a community baby shower that will help mothers in both Rutherford and Cannon counties.
With the donated items, 500 bags were assembled with baby supplies, including diapers, clothing, wipes and other essentials.
According to the Rutherford County Health Department, just over 4,000 babies are born in Rutherford County each year.
Of those babies, 241 are born to mothers ages 15 to 19.
