NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Vanderbilt Commodores knocked off a top 10 team in Memorial Gym for the first since 2008 beating 8th ranked Texas A&M 77-60 Thursday night in Nashville.
Jeff Roberson led the way for the Commodores with 20 points in the win.
The Commodores raced out to an early 11-1 lead only to watch the Aggies rally to tie it at 23-23, but Wade Baldwin hit a three-point field goal just before halftime to send the Dores to the locker room with a 7 point lead.
Vanderbilt (13-9,5-4) then opened the second half on a 7-0 run and put the Aggies on their heels.
Wade Baldwin IV had 17 points, Luke Kornet 14 and Damian Jones 13 for Vanderbilt.
Vanderbilt also had a big night from beyond the arch connecting on 13 3-point field goals.
