NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Google Fiber crews drilling near downtown Nashville hit an underground gas line, according to the Nashville Fire Department.
The 1 and forth-inch line was ruptured shortly before 3 p.m. Wednesday at 16th Avenue North and Capitol Point.
Piedmont Gas was called in and 16th Avenue was closed from Capital Point to Pearl Street. The line has since been repaired.
Officials with Piedmont told News 2 the damaged line didn’t provide natural gas service to any customers and therefore no one’s service was interrupted.
