NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A female pedestrian was critically injured after she was hit by a car in north Nashville early Sunday morning.
It happened on West Trinity Lane near Brick Church Pike around 3:30 a.m.
Police told News 2 the woman may have stepped into the street just before she was hit by a cream-colored sedan.
Metro police said they do not believe the driver could have avoided hitting the woman and no charges are expected to be filed against him.
The victim, who is in her 50s, was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
No additional information was immediately released.
