CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. (WKRN) — A Kentucky Transportation Cabinet employee died Saturday morning while plowing highways.

Christopher Adams, a 16-year employee of the Transportation Cabinet, slid off a ditch in Christian County at around 5:50 a.m. Saturday morning.

When a supervisor arrived to the scene, Adams was unresponsive.

The 44-year-old had been working since midnight, he was in good spirits when he talked with coworkers during a break.

Kevin McClearn, KYTC District 2 Chief Engineer, said “Our crews are very tight knit. Working long hours in all kinds of weather, you get to know the character of people around you. Losing a friend and cowowrker is always tough, but out Christian County crew is continuing work today to carry on efforts to make travel safer for the rest of us.”

Funeral arrangements have yet to be made.
