NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Metro police said Wednesday an officer has been decommissioned and assigned to desk duty as a result of her Tuesday arrest.

Mekisha Page, 41, was charged with misdemeanor stalking after Metro authorities say she made repeated calls and sent multiple “derogatory” text messages to someone she was dating even after they requested she stop.

The police department’s Domestic Violence Division conducted the investigation and obtained the warrant after consulting with the District Attorney’s Office.

Page was released after posting a $2,000 bond.

She graduated from the department’s training academy in June 2013.
