CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A 38-year-old man has been indicted on two counts of rape in Clarksville.

According to a release, Robert Lindlau was working as an assistant manager at a local business when he allegedly caught two women shoplifting last March.

Lindlau reportedly escorted the women to an office at the back of the store and told them he had called police and that it would be around an hour before authorities arrived.

Police said a call to them had not been made.

Lindlau then allegedly locked the office door and had them perform sexual favors on him.

He later let them go and allowed them to take some of the items they reportedly attempted to shoplift.

Anyone who has information or has been involved in similar incidents with Lindlau is urged to call Det. Joshua Jobe at 931-648-0656 Ext. 5269 or Crime Stoppers at 931-645-TIPS.
