Wrong-way driver, passengers arrested on drug charges in Kentucky

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (WKRN) – Kentucky State Police officers arrested three people on drug charges after they reportedly found driving the wrong way on a Hopkinsville highway Sunday night.

The traffic stop happened just after 10 p.m.

Officers reportedly stopped the car driving northbound in the southbound lane of Highway 41 near the Hopkinsville city limits.

Kentucky State Police allegedly found four pounds of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and cash in the car.

The driver, 23-year-old Amber Tinsley, and her two passengers, Antwan Pugh, 22, and Michael Chester, 25, of Evansville, Indiana, were arrested.

All three face drug trafficking and paraphernalia charges. Tinsley also was ticketed for careless driving and driving without a license.

No additional information was immediately released.
