Authorities believe missing 2-year-old boy is still in woods

PINSON, Tenn. (WKRN) – Authorities said in a news conference late Tuesday afternoon they still believe missing 2-year-old Noah Chamberlin is still in the woods he disappeared in.

Noah went missing last Thursday while he was on a nature walk with his grandmother.

Authorities said they have no reason to believe that Noah is anywhere other than the woods and that crews have searched about 1,000 acres with their search ever-expanding.

The terrain crews are searching for the toddler was described as “awful.”

Officials said Noah’s family has cooperated with the investigation so far, adding they have no reason not to believe them.

Authorities asked the public during the news conference to stop spreading rumors regarding the search and investigation.

“We need help, not hindrance,” they added.

Crews have been on the scene 24 hours a day since Noah disappeared. On Tuesday night, volunteers will not be used as they have been every other night due to the forecasted winter weather.
