Brine truck, empty school bus involved in crash near Ky. state line

CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – A Kentucky Department of Highways brine truck was involved in an accident with an empty school bus Tuesday afternoon.

According to a release, the brine truck was traveling west on Interstate 24 near the Tennessee-Kentucky state line when it was rear-ended by the empty bus.

Both drivers were taken to the hospital. Their injuries weren’t immediately known.

A soldier told News 2 he and other Fort Campbell soldiers responded to the crash “without hesitation” and helped direct traffic.

The roadway ultimately reopened around 7 p.m.
