NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Patrick Kane scored his 30th goal of the season and the Chicago Blackhawks won their franchise record 12th straight game 4-1 in Nashville Tuesday.
Artem Anisimov scored the first goal of the game in the first period to give Chicago a 1-0 lead. Kane assisted on the goal giving him 71 points (30 goals, 41 assists) for the season.
Chicago stretched the lead to 2-0 in the second period when Richard Panik beat Pekka Rinne stick side on a wrist shot.
Seconds later the Predators cut the lead in half when Ryan Ellis scored on a slap shot from the blue line. It was the 6th goal of the season for the Predators defenseman.
Kane turned in a show stopping breakaway moments later as he showed off tremendous speed splitting a pair of Nashville defenders and then superior stick skills to slip it by Rinne and really put the game away.
Corey Crawford was rock solid in net for Chicago with 38 saves. Rinne gave up at least three goals for the 8th time in 9 games taking the loss.
