Springfield house fire ruled suspicious

SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. (WKRN) – A fire that burned down a home in Robertson County Saturday night has been ruled suspicious.

Smokey Barn News reported the vacant home on Main Street caught fire just before midnight in Springfield.

Heat from the fire also damaged the home next door.

A neighbor reported seeing a group of young people behaving suspiciously just after the fire started, according to Springfield Fire Chief Jimmy Hamill.

The investigation is ongoing.
