NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A homeless man’s body was recovered from the Cumberland River early Saturday morning.
U.S. Coast Guard personnel located the decomposing body under the Martin Luther King Bridge in north Nashville around 1 a.m.
Police said in a release Monday the remains are those of 45-year-old Michael Myers who was last seen on Christmas Day swimming from Riverfront Park toward the east bank.
Police said there is no evidence of foul play.
The Medical Examiner’s Office is assisting in confirming the man’s identification and determining his cause of death.
