Metro police, FBI investigate Nashville bank robbery

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Metro Nashville Police Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation are investigating a bank robbery that happened Friday afternoon.

A man wearing a camouflage ball cap, blue shirt and khaki pants entered the Bank of America at 5801 Nolensville Pike around 2:30 p.m.

Metro police say he walked up to a teller with a Bible in hand and passed her a robbery demand note.

The teller complied and the man fled the bank in a red, older-model, two-door vehicle.

He dropped the Bible on his way out of the bank. No weapon was seen.

He is a white man who appears to be in his 40s. He is approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs approximately 200 pounds with light brown/red hair and mustache.

Anyone recognizing the robber from the attached bank surveillance photographs is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.

Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
