20-year-old woman killed in Murfreesboro crash

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) – A 20-year-old woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Murfreesboro Sunday night.

It happened near the intersection of Rutherford Boulevard and Broad Street around 8:20 p.m.

According to a release, Kayla Bryanton’s vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility pole.

The Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue Department reported Bryanton was pinned inside her vehicle.

She was treated at the scene before being airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville where she later died.

The accident remains under investigation. A cause was not immediately known.
