NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Metro police said Monday the murder victim found near Nashboro Village on Sunday has been identified as the man wanted in a Smyrna shooting.

Adrin Ohaekwe, found shot multiple times on Old Smith Springs Road, was being sought by Smyrna authorities.

Police believe he was with Glenn Roby when three people were robbed during a marijuana deal Saturday night. One of those people, Dallas Padgett, was also shot in the chest during the crime.

Roby and Ohaekwe reportedly ran from the Smyrna home and shot at two women in a nearby car before fleeing in their own.

Smyrna police said Monday, “The armed robbery that occurred in Smyrna did occur at the home of a Rutherford County Deputy, but the deputy was not home at the time and the deputy was not involved.”

Roby turned himself in to Smyrna police and Ohaekwe’s body was found in Nashville Sunday morning.

Further details on Ohaekwe’s death have yet to be released. There’s no information on a suspect in his murder at this time.

Nashville and Smyrna police continue to investigate both the robbery and Ohaekwe’s murder
