NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Metro Animal Care and Control has lowered adoption fees for the New Year in the hopes of that people will make a new pet part of their resolutions.
The reduced fees are part of the shelter’s ‘Make a Forever Friend’ adoption event. Adoption fees are $16 from Jan. 2 to Jan. 9.
“Resolving to adopt a shelter pet will not only improve the quality of life for that pet, but will also enhance your own.” said Rebecca Morris spokesperson for Metro Animal Care and Control.
“Whether you’re looking for a jogging partner or a couch potato to keep you company, we have your match at the shelter.”
All offers made by qualifying adopters will be accepted. All animals will be spayed or neutered, microchipped and vaccinated.
To streamline the adoption process, those interested should be prepared with a valid form of identification, proof of address if address on the ID isn’t current and a copy of your lease/agreement or pet policy if you’re a renter.
To take advantage of the reduced adoption fees, residents should visit Metro Animal Care and Control at 5125 Harding Place.
Metro Animal Care and Control is open for adoption Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday.
