Nonstop flight from Nashville to San Francisco begins in May

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Nashville International Airport officials and Mayor Megan Barry announced a new nonstop flight to San Francisco Tuesday morning.

United Airlines will begin the flights to the city by the bay on May 5, 2016. Tickets for flights are available for purchase Tuesday.

“As Nashville grows, air service will continue to be a crucial piece of future economic development opportunities,” said Nashville Mayor Megan Barry.

This announcement follows a string of recently announced new nonstop service from Nashville International Airport including Boston, Fort Lauderdale, Seattle, Oakland and Indianapolis.
