NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Two separate accidents on Interstate 24 caused traffic delays Monday morning.
The first accident occurred around 4:30 a.m. on the ramp from Briley onto I-24 when a tractor-trailer overturned. Eventually crews reopened the road to get traffic flowing again with the expectation that they would return to remove the vehicle after 9 a.m.
A second accident on I-24 W in Rutherford County led to a backup of over 10 miles on I-24 westbound near Sam Ridley Parkway.
Two lanes closed for crash investigation, but the accident is expected to be cleared by 8 a.m.
