NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Vanderbilt Commodores blew a 16-point, first half lead falling to Dayton 72-67 Wednesday night in Nashville.
The Dores scored 40 first half points to lead by eight at the break, but the offense dried up in the second half when they managed only 27 points.
Wade Baldwin had a chance to tie the game with less than a minute to play but watched his layup and Vanderbilt’s chances fall off the rim.
Baldwin and forward Damian Jones each had a team high 18 points.
Kendall Pollard led the Flyers with 21 points.
It’s the second straight loss for the 21st ranked Commodores. They take 10 long days of until their next game with Wofford on the 19th.
