Death ruled accidental after man found at Gallatin inn

GALLATIN, Tenn. (WKRN) – A 56-year-old man was found dead Wednesday at the Baymont Inn in Gallatin.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation was called to help process the crime scene after the 12 p.m. discovery.

Authorities say their preliminary investigation indicates Albery Steakley’s death was accidental. Autopsy and toxicology results are pending.

The TBI told News 2 he’d been staying at the hotel for several days. An employee went inside Wednesday to clean and found him dead.

The TBI is working alongside the Gallatin Police Department on the investigation, which is ongoing.

Further details have yet to be released.
