NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Nissan Stadium is hosting a toy drive to benefit the Salvation Army’s Forgotten Angels program on Tuesday.
The event will be held beginning at 6 a.m. and continues through 7 p.m. at the eastside entrance between gates 1 and 2 located next to the Pro Shop.
All of the toys received this year will help provide gifts to less fortunate children and elderly in the Middle Tennessee area.
“Thousands of toys have been donated throughout the years and we hope to see the same enthusiasm this year. We would not be able to provide for all these children, without the support of Cumulus Broadcasting and our community,” said Major Ed Lee, Area Commander The Salvation Army Nashville Area Command.
All of the toys raised at Tuesday’s event will help provide gifts to the several hundred “angels” who will not be adopted off of area Angel Trees.
Donations are also needed for senior angels who request items including pajamas, socks, underwear, candy, toiletries, books and music.
