NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A Metro bicycle officer was decommissioned after he was charged with possessing a firearm while under the influence of alcohol.
The Metro Nashville Police Department reported it received information about Jason Gross shortly before 10 a.m. Tuesday and the 34-year-old likely had alcohol in his system while on-duty.
According to a release, Gross voluntarily submitted to a breath alcohol test. His blood alcohol level was reportedly .027.
Gross, who is a four-year police veteran, has since been assigned to desk duty as an administrative investigation continues.
