FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WKRN) –Franklin Fire Captain Anthony Pasley announced his retirement on Monday.
Pasley, who is a Franklin native, began volunteering with the department in 1983, and was offered a full-time position in 1985.
During his time with the department, he has served as a firefighter, lieutenant and engineer.
Pasley was promoted to captain in 2006 and has worked at three of the department’s seven fire stations.
“He’s been a valuable part of our team for the past 32 years,” said Franklin Fire Chief Rocky Garzarek. “It’s difficult to replace someone with that kind of experience and knowledge. We are grateful for his service and wish him the very best retirement.”
Pasley, who is set to retire later this month, said he’s looking forward to supporting his two adult children in their careers.
