NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Supporters of Planned Parenthood will gather at the Nashville location on Sunday to honor the victims of the Colorado Springs shooting.
Two civilians and one officer were shot and killed outside of a Colorado Planned Parenthood center on November 27.
“What happened in Colorado last Friday was a tragedy and our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims,” said Jeff Teague, President and CEO of Planned Parenthood of Middle and East Tennessee. “We learned that words matter — hateful rhetoric is inciting violence in our community and it must stop. No one should face violence or intimidation for simply seeking reproductive health care or going to work. On Sunday, Nashville will speak in one unified voice to say enough is enough.”
The candlelight vigil will be held at the Planned Parenthood Health Center at 412 Br. D.B. Todd, Jr. Blvd, 37203.
