NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — It took more than a year for the Titans to end their 11 home game losing streak, but they did it on Sunday.
The Titans got a win 42-39 over Jacksonville at Nissan Stadium.
Marcus Mariota threw for 268 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for 118 yards and a score becoming the first Titans to rush for more than 100 yard in a game since 2013.
With his fourth three-touchdown passing game, Mariota tied Peyton Manning for most by a rookie quarterback with four games still left to play.
With his 87 yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter, Mariota moves to number three on the list for longest runs by a quarterback since 1960.
On the opposite side of the ball, Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles set a franchise record passing for five touchdowns in the loss but on fourth and five in their own territory the Titans came up with the game winning sack.
The 81 points combined between the two teams is the second most this season.
The Titans move to 3-9 with the win and Mike Mularkey is now 2-3 as the head coach
