NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The teams for the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl have been announced.
The 8-4 Texas A&M Aggies of the SEC will take on the 7-5 Louisville Cardinals from the ACC in the 18th annual bowl game at Nissan Stadium on December 30.
“We’re very excited about the opportunity to play in the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl against a very good Louisville squad,” said Aggie head coach Kevin Sumlin. “It’s a huge opportunity for our program to do something that we’ve never done before in 120 seasons of football and that’s to win five straight bowl games. Our players and coaches are looking forward to the challenge on the field, as well as the chance to experience Nashville. It should be a great week for our team and the 12th Man.”
Louisville head coach Bobby Petrino said “I think this is tremendous match-up for us and a great challenge for our football team. I’m happy for fans that can make the short trip to Nashville and enjoy the bowl festivities.”
