Hanukkah events in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — On Monday, Dec. 7, Mayor Megan Barry will light her first menorah as mayor at the courthouse.

Here’s a look at local Hanukkah events:

Hanukkah at the Tennessee State Capitol on Wednesday will feature the lighting of a menorah with Bill Haslam at the corner of Charlotte and Sixth Avenue.

Hockey fans can enjoy a menorah lighting at the Predators game Thursday as they celebrate “Predators Jewish Heritage Night.” Rabbi Tiechtel will be at Bridgestone Arena to light the menorah during intermission and eight prizes will be given out throughout the night.

On Friday, the Chabad of Nashville invites you to Light Up the Night with a Hanukkah dinner, music and fun for the whole family at 95 Bellevue Road.

The Gordon Jewish Community Center will hold their annual Hanukkah Fest to celebrate the last day of Hanukkah on Sunday. The fest will last 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and will include dinner, holiday activities and entertainment. A family ticket costs $30, $12 for adults and $5 for children.
