NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The 62nd annual Piedmont Natural Gas Nashville Christmas Parade kicked off at 10 a.m. Saturday in downtown Nashville.
Mayor Megan Barry led the parade floats along the route in sunny 40 degree weather.
The parade aired live on News 2, with Neil Orne, Dawn Davenport, and Justin Bruce offering commentary during the event. The News 2 family also joined in on the fun, riding a float along the route.
All proceeds from the parade will benefit Piedmont’s “Share the Warmth” program, which assists local low-income families who need help paying energy bills at any point during the year, regardless of their energy source.
