NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — For the 3rd straight year CPA met Alcoa in the 3A State Championship game and for the second straight year the loser was shutout.

After the Lions won it all in 2014 with a 7-0 shutout win over the Tornadoes, they repaid the favor Friday afternoon with a 20-0 shutout win.

After trailing 3-0 at half CPA could not stop Alcoa’s Malik Salter in the 2nd half at the goaline. Salter scored the only 2 touchdowns of the game, his second coming in the 4th quarter to seal Alcoa’s 2nd state title in 3 years.

Zack Weatherly was sacked 4 times as the CPA Lions managed just 93 yards of offense all game.
