Man arrested after woman carjacked in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. (WKRN) – Springfield police have arrested a man following a carjacking late Friday night.

The victim reported to police that while she was giving a man, known to her a “Zoe” a ride, he allegedly pulled out a knife, put it to her throat and attempted to stab her.

The 25-year-old woman was able to stop her car and escape with minor injuries while the suspect, later identified as Lorenzoe Wilson, fled in her vehicle.

Police have since recovered the woman’s car.

Wilson is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and theft over $1,000.

He is being held in the Robertson County jail on a $70,000 bond.
