Man, 52, charged with felony burglary in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A 52-year-old man faces felony burglary charges after he was arrested by Metro police during an investigative stop.

Richard L. Black, with a listed alias of William Black, was stopped by officers at the corner of Nolensville Road and Edmondson Pike.

His vehicle, a white GMC Sierra fit the description of one used in multiple burglaries in the area, according to a police affidavit.

The officer reported he spotted two jackets that were worn during the burglaries in the back seat during the stop. One was described as a black puffy coat and the other was a plaid jacket.

Officers obtained a probable cause search warrant and found Winston 100’s, Grizzly chewing tobacco, and change still in rolls inside the vehicle.

Black also had 100 $1 bills in his back pocket, according to officers.

All of the items found were reported missing from two locations, Delta Express on 21st Avenue South and Jet’s Pizza on Richard Jones Road.
