Pedestrian struck by car in east Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A man is recovering after he was hit by a car in east Nashville Sunday night.

It happened on Gallatin Pike at the Eastland Avenue intersection around 6 p.m.

Police told News 2 the man, who is reportedly homeless, was struck when he was walking in the road.

He was transported to TriStar Skyline Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the car was not injured and no charges have been filed.
