CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. (WKRN) – Authorities in Kentucky said Thursday a man was found dead inside a home during their investigation into human remains found earlier in the day inside a burned car.
It all unfolded after the fire department was called to the car fire in a field off Rosetown Road near Pembroke in Christian County.
Severely damaged human remains were found inside the car. Authorities said there may be a second body inside as well, but the damage is too extensive to tell at this point.
During their investigation, sheriff’s deputies ran the tags of the car and responded to a home on South Main Street in Pembroke.
While there, officers reportedly found a dead man with a gunshot wound to the chest. His exact cause of death wasn’t immediately known.
None of the victims’ identities have been released at this time.
Authorities continue to investigate to determine the exact circumstances and connection between both scenes.
