NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A 16-year-old boy was shot in east Nashville Thursday afternoon.
The victim told Metro police he was shot on South Ninth Street when a vehicle drove by and fired from within just before 4 p.m.
Andre Hill ran to a home on South Eighth Street to get help. Authorities said an ambulance was on another call nearby and transported him to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
The 16-year-old suffered non-life threatening injuries and is expected to be OK.
Officers at the scene reportedly spoke to people in the area. No one heard shots.
The investigation is ongoing. A motive was not immediately released, neither was information regarding a suspect.
