PLAINFIELD, Ind. (WISH) — The bright lights of Hollywood shined on a Plainfield boy Sunday, helping his wish come true.

Eight-year-old Hendrix walked the red carpet for the premiere of a documentary about himself.

Hendrix suffers from a pulmonary condition, and the Make-A-Wish organization granted his wish to make the film so people can see what it’s like to live in his shoes.

The movie, “Livin’ Like Hendrix,” was created by filmmaker Ken Nelson.

It was filmed at several local locations, including Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital, where Hendrix receives ongoing treatment.

Hendrix arrived to the red carpet premiere wearing a brand new tuxedo donated by Brooks Brothers at The Fashion Mall at Keystone.

He rode up in a limousine with his family.

Sunday’s premiere was held at the IMAX theater at the Indiana State Museum.
