Murfreesboro Fire & Rescue Department set goal to install 100 smoke alarms

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) –Murfreesboro Fire & Rescue Department installed free smoke alarms on Saturday, Nov. 14 as part of the state-wide smoke alarm canvassing effort.

In acknowledgment of the 100th year anniversary of the State Fire Marshal’s Office, MFRD and nine other fire departments across the state have were challenged to install 100 smoke alarms.

MFRD also offered specialty smoke alarms for the hearing or visually impaired.
