NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — It was a slow start in Smashville Thursday night as the Predators took on the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Thursday’s game was almost the opposite of Tuesday’s 7-5 win against the Senators with the score staying 0-0 in the first two periods.

Captain Shea Weber, in his 700th NHL game, scored the first goal of the game early in the third period on a power play.

Tyler Bozak answered minutes later, tying it up.

The game headed into a scoreless overtime before entering a shootout.

Filip Forsberg, Ryan Ellis, Roman Josi, James Neal and Craig Smith all took shots against James Reimer and missed.

Peter Holland scored the game-winning goal for the Leafs.

The Predators take on the Jets at home on Saturday at 6 p.m.
