Police search for woman accused of robbing 2 Nashville gas stations

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Police are searching for a woman accused of robbing two Davidson County gas stations early Thursday morning.

The first robbery occurred at the Daily’s on White Bridge Road in west Nashville around 2 a.m.

Police told News 2 the suspect approached the counter to pay for an item before attempting to grab cash from the register while it was open.

The clerk was able to push her away and out of the store but not before the suspect fled with only a pack of cigarettes.

A half hour later, police believe the same woman robbed a Mapco gas station on Lebanon Pike near Spence Lane.

Police said the suspect used the same tactic of feigning to pay for an item before she successfully grabbed cash from the register.

The amount of money she was able to steal was not released.

The suspect never showed a weapon or demanded money. Once caught, she’ll be charged with theft and assault.

The woman was described a black woman in her mid-20s, wearing all-black clothing, 5 feet 8 inches tall with red hair.
