NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Nashville Predators President Sean Henry will take over the role of Chief Executive Officer on December 1.

The announcement was made Thursday that Jeff Cogen, current CEO, will be switching to baseball and joining the Tampa Bay Rays.

In his five years with the Predators, Cogen led the team to 30 sellouts last season, with 12 straight at the end. He was also instrumental in the development of the Ford Ice Center and Nashville earning the 2016 NHL All-Star Game.

Henry is in his sixth season with the team and has led a number of renovations at Bridgestone Arena including new seats in the lower bowl, the opening of Tavern ’96 and the Predators Team Store.

Cogen will split his time between the Predators and Rays from December 1 until the end of the NHL All-Star Game.
